# MariaDB, supported

Connect a MariaDB database the same way you connect MySQL, and ask questions of it.

If your product runs on MariaDB, you can now connect it to Adea directly. Pick MariaDB in the list of databases and follow the same steps as for MySQL.

Paste the address your developer gave you, including one that starts with mariadb://, and Adea recognises it. Adea only reads from the database, so nothing in it changes.

Once it's connected, ask your first question in plain words. Adea finds the right tables and shows you the numbers with what's behind them.
